Valley Proteins has generously donated the bulk of the waste cooking oil that the pilot plant uses as a feedstock.

Aramark has worked with UT Dinning services and Valley Proteins to help bring waste cooking oil to the pilot plant.

UT Environmental Semester Grant Program is what started the pilot plant back in late 2005. Students from the UT chapter of SAE submitted a grant for the pilot plant. A $10,000 grant was awarded to the proposal.
