January 10 2007: ME 494/594 - Biodiesel Production and Application

UT Biodiesel is pleased to announce that the project has a special topics course centered around learning about production and application of biodiesel. The course is writing intensive with a hands on lab aspect. Click on the image below to view a PDF of the ME 494 syllabus.

Jan 07 2007: UT Biodiesel Promotional Materials

Working with Threds Adprint UT Biodiesel has created pens and Shirts to help promote the UT Biodiesel program. The shirts have facts about biodiesel and the pens have a link to the website. Both promotional items came out great thanks to Judy Senikar at Threds.

Dec 20 2006: UT Biodiesel Coordinators receive NBB Scholarships

Sean Peterson and Scott Curran were awarded scholarships to attend the 2007 NBB Biodiesel Conference in San Antonio Texas.

Dec 05 2006: UT Biodiesel receives outreach grant

The UT College of Engineering awarded the UT Biodiesel program a $3,000 outreach grant in response to the press and attention that the program has received over the last semester. The coordinators would like to thank Dr. Davis and Dean Kuo for their continued support of the program.

Nov 30 2006: UT Biodiesel  interviewed by Biodiesel Magazine             

Holly Jesson with NBB international conducted a phone interview with the UT Biodiesel Coordinators. The article is to be a side piece in the January 2007 issue of Biodiesel Magazine.

NOV 1 2006: Hellbender interviews UT Biodiesel.

Hellbender editor Amanda Womac interviews Scott and Sean for an alternative fuels piece in the Hellbender newspaper.
